[9.0] "I think this was my first full BJW show back in the day. On a rewatch, it's still damn good and pretty close to a 10. Just a great 'big show' style card, showcasing excellently everything the company had to offer. Multiple great matches here, and not just the ones with >20 ratings in the matchguide here either; the Hideki tag is brilliant, 6 man titles super fun, a very satisfying beefy Sekimoto match, and the tag titles match is great fun as long as you are fond of fat guy wrestlers."

[10.0] "Der Opener ist ganz Gut (***), vorallen sticht hier für mich Daichi Hashimoto hervor der langsam aber sicher zu einem Star wird. Das Tag Team Match danach ist auch ganz gut (***). Das Six Man Tag ist Ok aber nicht wirklich interessant (** 1/4). Der Shopping Street Championship Kampf war nicht viel und konnte mich nicht wirklich begeistern (**). Sekimoto vs. Kawakami war sehr gut (*** 3/4). Evolution vs. YTK war ein sehr gutes Tag Team (***), wobei mich der Sieger doch etwas überrascht hat. Die Twin Towers können danach gegen Hama und Akebono ein ganz gutes Match hinzaubern (*** 1/2). Der Co- Main Event zeigt dann das MotY von Big Japan was ein mega geiler Kampf mit einer Super Story und dem Upsetsieg von Kamitani einfach nur WOW (*****). Der Main Event war ein sehr gutes Death Match mit teilweise kranken Bumps (**** 1/4)"

[7.0] "Die Eröffnung der Show war großartig und mir hat der Einblick in das Rosters sehr gefallen. Die Jungs haben ihren spaß und alle scheinen sich gut zu verstehen. Für mich persönlich braucht dann die Show ein bisschen um in Fahrt zu kommen, da 4 einhalb Stunden nun einmal eine lange Zeit sind und BJW selbst mit Hilfe meiner Meinung nach nicht das Roster hat, um diese Zeit komplett zu füllen. So waren die ersten 4. Matches nur kurze Angelegenheiten von denen ein paar Matches eine Portion Comedy hatten, aber die man nicht gesehen haben muss. Das Yokohama Shopping Street Match hat für mich dann relativ wenig mit dem zu tun, was ich an Wrestling mag und war eine Mischung aus Death Match und Comedy. Kawakami kommt zurück und scheint in guter Form zu sein, jedoch bekommt er mit Sekimoto für meinen Geschmack etwas zu wenig Zeit, weshalb das Match nicht ganz das Potenzial ausschöpfen kann, welches es zuvor versprach. Yankee Two Kenju gegen Aoki und Sato war dann wrestlerisch gesehen das 2. beste Match an diesem Abend. Das Twin Towers vs. Smop Match war stellenweise zwar unterhaltsam, aber zu langsam und nicht intensiv genug um eine hohe Bewertung zu verdienen. Es hat keinen gestört, aber keiner hätte das Match auch gebraucht. Danach kam das MOTN und ein großartiges Match zwischen Kamitani und Okabayashi, welches auf einem ähnlichen Niveau war wie Okabayashi vs. Ishikawa ein paar Monate zuvor. Die 2 haben in diesem Match alles rausgehauen was sie zu bieten haben und vor allem Okabayashi verdient mal wieder einen Orden für seine Leistung. Der Main Event war dann auch ziemlich stark, welches mich für ein Death Match viel besser unterhalten konnte, als ich es erwartet habe. Alles in allem eine unterhaltsame Show, die aber für mich zu lange gebraucht hat um relevant zu werden. Mit einer besseren Undercard und mit ein paar Minuten mehr beim Sekimoto vs. Kawakami Kampf wären sicherlich auch noch mehr Punkte drin gewesen."

[8.0] "It's a shame that Ryogokutan is in late July and not August for I would very much enjoy attending despite not really 'enjoying' death matches; however, their outlandish antics are rightfully served, and provide less of a toll for the squeamish, in larger venues such as Sumo Hall. I don't know Ryuji Ito all that well having only watched a handful of his singles matches but he's obviously a very different sort of creature than myself. Outside of taking a STO on a scaffold, splashing through a table from an entrance archway, watching him endure a syringe with ? liquid being stuck and then squirted through his left cheek and then left to rot there in that same position for the remaining six minutes of the match will never leave my mind. Upon standing/stretching his arms out upon the scaffold he looked like a freak from the Resident Evil or ReAnimator series. OMG! Anyway, the main event was quite good as were the other two more straight-laced wrestling bouts that were recommended on this site. Outside these three, the remaining seven matches contained a lot of filler (matches 1 & 3, ) hardcore nonsense (match 5) or not elite skilled competitors (match #3, together SMOP is almost six times my weight. ) I was expecting a more combustible Suzuki/Nakanoue confrontation than what match #4 delievered but it was sturdy mid-cardstuff. The Sekimoto match was as well but with only eleven minutes it's not as if they were placed in a position to steal the show. 7. 5"

[8.0] "Eine tolle Show! Es war eine herrliche emotionale Sache rund um den Titelgewinn von Kamitani, der wirklich Oka-san besiegen konnte und dem Titelgewinn von Hoshino gegen Ito - Mehr Emotionen gehen nicht! Das All Asia Tag Team Match war ebenfalls sehr solide und auch Sekimoto gegen Kawakami wusste zu fallen. Eine Prise SMOP, eine Prise Brahmans und schon hat man eine ordentliche BJW-Show!"

[10.0] "One of the best shows of 2016. BJW delivered from top to bottom. The thing that made this show so great was the versatility. Opening tag match was a great kickfest (**), second match was highflying at its finest (**), third match was great comedy, great to see Sasuke and Kojika do their thing in 2016 (*1/2), 4th tag match was great, Hideki Suzuki looled like a beast (***), the fifth match, which was a deatmatch was lots of fun (*1/4), Sekimoto vs. Kawakami was awesome, Kawakami crying after the match because he couldn't beat Sekimoto added to the story (***1/2), the All Asia Tag Match was beautiful limbwork by both teams (***3/4), TwinTowers vs. SMOP was better than I expected (***1/4), Kamitani vs. Okabayashi was a match of the year candidate, beautiful passing of the torch (****1/2), and the main event was a great hardhitting death match between Ito and Hoshino (***3/4)."

[10.0] "Top-to-bottom, one of the best wrestling shows of the year. Incredibly consistent quality throughout, with the matches overall getting better and better over time. The multiple opening tag matches all felt distinct and were good in various ways, from Daichi showing off what he can do, to Suzuki and Nakanoue's stiff feud escalating, to Great Kojika bringing the fucking GREAT SPACE WAR to BJW by dressing up as Vader against The Great Sasuke. The Yokohama Trios Title match was a fun 6-man deathmatch with the right team winning. Kawakami had a very good return match with Sekimoto (***1/2), Yankee Two Kenjuu had a great performance in the match that finally ended their stellar All Asia Tag Title reign (***3/4), Twin Towers vs SMOP was a massive collision between four BIG guys that really went places (***3/4), Kamitani defeating Okabayashi was a fucking fantastic match and perhaps a modern classic for BJW's Heavyweight Division (****1/2), and the Scaffold Deathmatch between Ito and Hoshino was just jaw-dropping even though they couldn't use glass in Sumo Hall (****1/4). I don't know what I liked more: everybody including Ryota Hama congratulating Kamitani after his win, or a bloodied Hoshino holding his son in his arms after his. Incredible show."
