[4.0] "Pwg's debut show wasn't great. First of all, the commentary was awful and annoying. At times I just turn the volume to 0. On the opener we see the Future Simon Gotch on a six man tag. It was bad, but at least Sara del Rey and the heels did a fine job. Excalibur wins a decent match over Chris Bosh. The tag Team match between Scorpio Sky & Quicksilver and The Ballard Brothers was pretty decent. The Ballards are a nice heel team that did some Solid work. The Babyface did some cool moves and stablish themselves as one of the top teams of the company. Super Dragon de fears M-Dogg 20 on a dissapointing match, there were some botches and some cool moves. Taro defeats Babi Slymm on a bad comedy match. Next is a medriocre tag team. The six man tag Team match was good, Adam Pearce and the heels did a great job working on Joey Ryan. Pearce was the Best. The main Event was the Best match of the Night. AJ and Kazarian have chemistry and did some cool counters and moves. This had some nice matches, but as others were bad and the commentary was so annoying this can't Get a better grande."

Obviously at this point, PWG isn't the super-indy that it would eventually become, so if you're looking for that type of action, you really won't find it here, Super Dragon vs. M-Dogg 20 would be the closest thing to that. Unfortunately, beyond the significance of this being PWG's debut show, there isn't much to recommend, at least in regards to match quality."

"This show wasn't very good but even in the first event they knew blending unseen west coast talents with a few coming from the east coast made the shows stand out from everyone else. The main event was pretty physical as they were trying to push Kaz as a main event player at that time. While I wouldn't recommend watching anything besides the main event it's very interesting to see how good PWG roster would get only a few years later from the first event."

"Not seen this show but recently done a Where Are They Now? article on it. Interesting to see so many current big names and the 'PWG Big Six' having founder owners also wrestle too. Must of helped with the booking and longevity of the promotion."

[7.0] "A strange debut show for PWG but not awful by any means. The "hidden" commentary track with Excalibur and Disco Machine was entertaining in places and helped a slightly above-average 2003 indy go by a little quicker. MOTN was definitely Styles/Kazarian but also really enjoyed Super Dragon/M-Dogg. The Ballards/Quicksilver & Scorpio Sky was decent too, everything else was totally missable but inoffensive enough."

[4.0] "Finally.

[3.0] "PWG's first show is quite shaky, as would be expected. The Pacing is weird, many matches go too long or too short, and roles are ill-defined. That being said, some individuals (Excalibur, AXP and their brutal finisher, Hook bomberry as well as the character TARO) do stand out, even if their opponents do not step up to them. On the plus side, Super Dragon vs M-Dogg 20 delivers fun in spade, and more importantly, Frankie Kazarian vs AJ Styles is a fun and fitting main event, showing that Frankie could be a reliable main eventer for PWG's early shows. If you weight the good moments and the bad overlong matches, the first PWG ends up being barely adequate, but certainly promising better days to come eventually."
