| 1 | 01.01.2020 | Paul Allain | 6.0 | Alexander/Caleb was a weak opener, building Caleb Konley well for a title shot that ultimately will mean nothing. Gacy/Dreamer was watchable but nothing special, and of all the time Tommy Dreamer put over a local talent, this was one time where he shouldn't have, because Joe Gacy's push is failing hard. Timothy/Dalton was a solid wrestling match, with compelling aggressive matwork and a simple clean finish that makes for a clean transition between the undercard and the midcard. Beaver/Front was quite good, with the use of Jaka being genius and meshing super well with the champions for the bulk of the match, giving them a big victory that felt unique in their reign. Pepper/Excellent was just dumb and cheap, but LuFisto's return was a great surprise and the mixed tag team match was a much needed upgrade in quality for this stupid feud. The 8-Men Tag Team Match felt random and merely passable. Tofiga/Masada was perfectly fine and a much better reintroduction for Masada on the roster and in his quest for Drew Gulak. Sabian/Hyde was an odd matchup that never found its groove, but at least it gave an important victory to Sabian while also enhancing the nascent Dreamer/Hyde issue. Moore/Strickland was a fine match, but the short duration and timing of the finish felt abrupt, as the triumphant title victory for Shane Strickland comes three months after the right time, taking a needless detour that feels confusing and anticlimactic. Gulak/Fox was a superb main event, with AR Fox getting the spotlight and controlling most of the match, smartly spacing up his huge high-flying offense to make every move matter, building up the intrigue as a title change seemed more and more probable, but the champion used all his skills and resourcefulness to claim the victory and preserve his reign of excellence. Alternates between inspired greatness and awful dullness, making for a flawed show that has memorable highlight to make for a good impression. |
| 3 | 14.03.2014 | sign squad | 3.0 | Kann bitte mal jemand den "Eigengewächsen" beibringen, wie das mit dem Prowrestling eigentlich so von grundauf funktioniert? Das erste Drittel ist ja ganz manierlich: drei Matches, drei verschiedene Stile und alle drei Matches so um **, was völlig OK ist. Konley hat ja sogar sowas wie Persönlichkeit. Dreamer vs. Gacy kommt noch halbwegs beim Publikum an, während man bei Thatcher entweder schweigt oder ihn bittet, sich zu verziehen. Dann wirds typisch CZW und ich frage mich, wo bei den Wrestlern wie den Verantwortlichen die Grenze zwischen "das sind wir als Liga" zu "unser Produkt ist einfach schlecht" gezogen wird. Haben die kein Ehrgefühl oder keinen Anspruch an sich? Zumindest ist es nicht so peinlich wie bei der letzten Show sondern in der Hauptsache nervig und komplett langweilig. da einfach nur Moves runtergespult werden von Leuten ohne Gear, ohne Body und vor allem ohne Charisma. OK, jetzt mal von den beiden Mädels abgesehen, die sind knuffig. Masada quält sich mit einem übergewichtigen Gegner, dessen Talent auch nur seinem Trainer bekannt sein dürfte. Großartig, wie Masada am Ende die Leiter wegstößt und diese beim Ref in der Fresse landet. Ganz großes Tennis. Hyde vs. Jeez interessiert niemanden, gleiches gilt für Strickland, der sang und klanglos den Titel gewinnt (*1/4). Drew Gulak verdient Zuspruch, immerhin schafft er es, Fox eine Basis zu bieten und ihn daran zu hindern, seinen üblich fahrlässigen Unsinn zu veranstalten (**1/4). |
