Rich Swann

[6.0] "This guy just doesn't have it. I have been exposed to him mainly through TNA where despite a run during the early pandemic as Champion he never really felt like a main venter. His match with Kenny Omega during the original Forbidden Door experiment exposed him. His slot in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic didn't impress me that much either. However, a solid hand that has the fundamentals down and is a good addition to the mid card."

[4.0] "Gefällt mir überhaupt nicht. Im Ring ein ziemliches Springginkerl, wenig Ausstrahlung und am Mikrofon irgendwo zwischen nervig und unglaubwürdig. War bei WWEs Cruiserweight Division immer fehl am Platz. Bei TNA habe ich nur wenig gesehen und wurde nicht widerlegt."

[6.0] "Rich Swann has been a good in ring wrestler for a long time. Sometimes his character work is goofier than it should be. His WWE run was alright and how it ended is probably the biggest knock against him in my book. His runs in TNA and Revolver have been much better."

[7.0] "Rich Swann is a fun wrestler with a whole lot of charisma, but it doesn't always translate well. He definitely shouldn't be in the world title position, but he's still a good guy to have as a midcarder. His WWE stuff wasn't great, but he seems to have found something in Impact, a groove that works for him."

[6.0] "An above-average wrestler who sadly has too great of a tendency to emote in wildly stupid and melodramatic ways, plus he is way too obsessed with highlighting his "goofy" side to an extreme, to the point that it's pretty cringeworthy and thus really off-putting. His character work aside, he's a pretty good wrestler. He's mostly a high-flyer with a lot of sharp strikes thrown in, though he was definitely always overshadowed by his various contemporaries throughout his career. His aerial attacks were never especially spectacular but they were still pretty good, since he had good energy and mostly really smooth and precise technique. If his character work was more palatable then I'd have liked him a lot more, but he's definitely pretty good when playing a minor/supporting role in a match."

[6.0] "Solid superstar. Certainly a solid high-flying star and a great athlete who has lots of charisma, though it doesn't translate to promos where he can struggle. He can have a great match with the right superstar like Kenny Omega, but usually it's more average or sometimes above average. In an era of great wrestlers though and strong high-flyers, Swann can struggle to stand out on his own. It was great that Impact gave him a run at the top but I think it proved he's not really a main event star. I struggle remembering many things about him with biggest stand out being his match with Omega that was more due to Omega than Swann. Still a fine performer."

[3.0] "His legslapping BS completely sucks. He slapping his legs is like a most annoying thing ever. When he slaps it doesn't sounds like a hit, it's sounds like a damn slap. He is spamming and spamming and spamming with that and that's sucks. Also he have weak physic and zero personality. WWE Cruiserweight title is his complete maximum. I'm surprised why they gaved him Impact World championship. So overrated."

[10.0] "Extremely talented wrestler who definitely has potential to go on to do bigger things given his success as a world champion as the face of a company."

[7.0] "He is a really good high flyer. Decent with everything else. Definitely a good midcarder. He can work in any position and do damn well with it."

[7.0] "Rich Swann is a good wrestler and high flyer but not a main eventer for me. More of a midcarder or junior. He's charismatic too."

[8.0] "Seriously' These ratings are way too low. You cannot deny Rich Swann is one of the best high-flyers in wrestling today. He's incredibly smooth and for anyone saying he has no character you're trippin, he's incredibly charismatic and those dance moves ain't bad either. But in all seriousness, he's a great wrestler and if you watch enough of his matches, you'll come around to him, I wasn't a fan of his at first either."

[7.0] "Back a few months ago, I'd probably say that while no one can deny Rich's capability in the ring, there's something about him that makes him blend into the crowd. Well, I'm happy to report that this issue is really starting to fade away. Rich has greatly improved in my eyes, and I think there's nowhere to go but up."

[0.0] "Rich Swann is incompetent. Not only did he abuse his wife Su Yung by dragging her out of a car forcibly, but he literally cannot do anything in the ring. As a worker, he is awful, he can't hit anything convincingly, he sells everything awfully, he has no cardio, no main event presence, his moves all look like they're hit underwater, he's got no natural instincts for what spots should come after each other, he's just a overrated stain that has been elevated to a main event talent with no justification."

[4.0] "Joa, Rich Swann, ich hatte schon das Gefühl, dass der WWE Cruiserweight Title eine Nummer zu groß für ihn ist und das gilt natürlich auch noch 2021 mit dem Impact World Title. Er ist für mich einfach nicht das Kaliber mit seiner dünnen Persönlichkeit, einseitigem Charisma und generell wenig würdigen Auftreten. Im Ring hat er einen ganz coolen Stil, aber wird dabei sein Indy-Historie auch nicht immer los. Typischer Midcard gute Laune-Face, der einen aufstrebenden Heel aufbaut. Mehr sehe ich in ihm nicht. Title vs. Title-Match ist in den Geschichtsbüchern und der nächste Beweis, dass er viel zu lückenhaft arbeitet, um wirklich zu überzeugen. Keine Ausstrahlung, maue Mimik, sehr lineares und sich wiederholendes Selling. Das ist wenig in Summe."

[6.0] "He's physically very talented but I've never really seen Swann as anything more than a spot worker: he's kinda lifeless in terms of having a character, having promo skills, anything outside of a ring. Not got a lot of psychology for my liking as well. Sure he's the champ in TNA, but this isn't 2005 where that would be considered a actual feat. In terms of his high flying he's not the best (Fenix, PAC) nor the most innovative (Ospreay) he's just sorta there. He's certainly not bad and I'll give him credit for being better than expected with main event responsibilities but that's really it."

[9.0] "Ich lag wirklich komplett falsch bei Rich Swann. Dieser Typ ist einfach großartig. Im Ring zählt er momentan zu einen der besten Wrestler und dazu kommt verdammt viel Charisma. Wenn es darum geht eine Promo glaubwürdig und nachvollziehbar rüberzubringen, liegt er verdammt weit vorne. Ein sehr würdiger World Champion für IMPACT Wrestling."

[10.0] "Swann is a very talented and gifted wrestler that isn't given enough credit. His hybrid style of strikes and high flying along with his different type of charisma really breaks the mold when it comes to World Champions. be it PGW, WWE, MLW or Impact, Swann has put on top notch matches if not the best matches of the night. Here's to hoping he gets more attention in the future."

[6.0] "It seems to me that he is a good wrestler but not to be a world champion in any relatively important company."

[6.0] "For me, he is a perfectly average highflyer. Not as great as Ricochet or Fenix, as seems a bit too much of a goofy athlete. He has skills and capacities, but he has not impressed me."

[7.0] "A great athlete, but he never caught on too much in WWE due to him being saddled with a dumb dancing gimmick. Despite that, he still was able to catch enough fire to be Cruiserweight champion for a short run. He's been much better utilized in Impact, although I still think more could be done to get his personality over."

[9.0] "Ich werde diese Charisma und Stimmungsbombe sehr bei PWG und in den Indys vermissen. Ich wünsche ihm bei NXT alles Gute er könnte es schaffen. Ist auch unglaublich wie jung er ist mit den Bart schaut er einfach älter aus. Swann ist ein super High Flyer, ein richtig guter Sänger, kann anscheinend auch Gitarre spielen und er liebt die Popkultur. Sein Tag Team mit Ricochet (Inner City Machine Guns) und dann der Stable mit Chuckie und Johnny (Ronin) waren tolle Zeiten. Edit 11. 12. 2017 Oh Mann was ist mit Rich nur passiert. Er hat aktuelle mehrere schlimme Taten an seiner Frau vergangen und wurde von der WWE suspendiert. Sicher wird er noch von der WWE entlassen. Seine Frau wird sich sicher auch von ihm Scheiden lassen. Denke nicht das sie ihm das verzeiht. Edit: 07. 01. 2019 Einfach nur genial wie viel Charisma er immer noch hat wenn er zu All Night Long in den Ring kommt. Seine Ehefrau hat ihm doch verziehen und er hat echt wieder so viel Spaß am wrestlen. Sah ich auch letztes Jahr."

[8.0] "Er hat Charisma und ist im Ring sehr gut. Er hatte einige gute Matches, hat aber nie so ganz die Chance bekommen um zu zeigen was der wirklich draufhaut."

[8.0] "Kenne ihn nur durch seine Zeit in Dragon Gate, aber dort war er sehr gut. Konnte sehr gut mit dem Rest vom Roster mithalten. Charisma hatte er auch unmengen. Sein Team mit Gamma möchte ich hier besonders hervorheben, die beiden haten einfach eine so chaotisch lustige chemie. Eine Bereicherung für jede Liga, wo immer er auch ist hoffentlich hat er Spaß."

[7.0] "Swann ist insgesamt ein ziemlich unterhaltsamer Typ, der leider auf Dauer vielleicht etwas eintönig wird. Im Ring sehr flink und schnell, dabei ebenfalls technisch gut dabei. Hat viele gute Flugeinlagen und Tritte. Ansonsten hat er durch seine Mimik und sein Charisma ein wirklich sympathischen Babyface Look. 7 Punkte, Tendenz nach oben."

[8.0] "A guy I never thought I'd see in the WWE, but that's just a testament to how good Rich Swann is. By now, everyone knows his backstory and it's an inspiring one. Mic wise, he's not a terrific promo, but he's got a real natural babyface charisma to him. In the ring, he's a great talent and again, he can showcase that babyface charisma with ease. Could be an absolute star in the cruiserweight division."

Wie ein anderer User hier geschrieben hat: Swann sollte eigentl. schon längst in der WWE angelangt sein. Er hätte es sich reichlich verdient. Nur leider wäre sein atemberaubendes Moveset dann dahin ... aber egal. YOU DESERVE IT!"

[10.0] "If you've watched wrestling for a very long time, it's very rare that you'll see new, creative, and innovative maneuvers and Rich Swann without a doubt has a lot of them in his moveset including his famous standing 450 splash which is insane to me! Plus he has some counters to moves as well that you've never seen before and on top of him being such an amazingly talented in-ring performer, he oozes charisma beyond belief and charisma is carved all over this guy! It's incredible! Rich Swann is definitely one of a kind, that's for damn sure!"

Great at all styles but mostly at high flying with unlimited amounts of charisma that can't be matched by ANYONE on the indies. Not one person on the indies."

[7.0] "Man sollte ihm kein Mikrofon geben, aber ansonsten ist der Kerl (gerade für seine zarten 20 Jahre) schon verdammt gut. Er hat noch etwas zu sehr das Bedürfnis in jeden Move noch einen Flip oder eine Schraube einzubauen, aber er kann durchaus gute Matches führen und nicht nur Spots aneinanderreihen. Dazu kommt noch seine wirklich fantastische Körperbeherrschung, der beeindruckende Standing 450° ist da nur ein Beispiel. Der Junge dürfte noch einiges vor sich haben."

[9.0] "Der Kerl ist so unterhaltend & tourt jetzt schon mit Größen wie Gamma durch Japan. Ausgezeichneter High-Flyer mit einer rosigen Zukunft."

[8.0] "Talentierter Allrounder. Heraustechend natürlich die Highflying Künste. Allerdings auch mit sehr gutem Brawling und Technik. Charisma ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Wird sich sicher in der Indy-Szene etablieren und ist mit 20 immer noch sehr sehr jung und hat noch genügen Zeit sich noch mehr zu verbessern."

[6.0] "Lustiger Typ, gefällt mir zusammen mit Ryan McBride sehr gut, ist aber schlechter als sein Partner. Kann sein Charisma, was er in Deutschland gezeigt hat, leider kaum in den CZW Shows zeigen. Er hat aber aufjeden Fall noch eine große Zukunft vor sich."
