Worked well with Colt Cabana as well as Caprice Coleman. Deserves to be on a higher platform than what TKROH has become."

I hope he continues to be the voice of Ring of Honor when they eventually secure a deal to produce stand alone content outside of AEW. It's Ian that makes some of the ROH stuff watchable while it's being stuffed into AEW programming."

[10.0] "Still barely a decade in and one of the greatest of all time. He knows and shares the history of wrestling to tie it into everything today. His underrated versatility has lead him to be The Forest Gump of modern wrestling. Seriously he's in the background everywhere. ROH goes without saying but All In, The first non WWE show at MSG in decades, Ric Flair's last match, NJPW, AEW, Impact, GCW... The man is just everywhere. He's just as natural working with with someone from Jim Crockett promotions as he is with someone from JCW. He adds something to every show he's on. He never puts the talent down and best of all... It seems like he wants to be there. He seems like he likes watching wrestling and is having fun. I think that adds a lot to the product."
[6.0] "Riccaboni macht einen soliden Job, hat aber auch keinen denkwürdigen Stil. Seine Art, die ihm hier in anderen Kommentaren als besonders professionell ausgelegt wurde, empfinde ich als langweilig. Wenn ich mich früher auf WWE Raw gefreut habe, habe ich mich auch auf Jim Ross gefreut, wenn ich mich auf NXT gefreut habe, dann eine Zeit lang auf Mauro Ranallo. Eine ähnliche Identifikation von ROH mit ihm habe ich nie wahrgenommen. Dazu ist aber zu relativieren: diese Identifikation bestimmter Stimmen mit einer Show ist natürlich die höchste Messlatte. Aber auf dem Niveau schwimmt Riccaboni ja mit (siehe seine kurzen AEW-Auftritte), weshalb ich ihn auch daran messe."
[7.0] "Grüße an Wrestling Forever. Mir ging er als nervige Grinsebacke mit anstrengenden Betonungen teils wirklich gut auf den Senkel, aber seit dem Restart unterstreicht er, was für ein guter Kommentator er ist. Seine emotionaleren Parts fresse ich noch nicht so, aber in Summe erzählt er viele gute Sachen und - Bonus heutzuage - weiß er, wie er Leute over bekommt. Spricht viel kluge Dinge an, erklärt Hintergründe etc. Immer noch etwas Luft nach oben, aber die positiven Seiten überwiegen mittlerweile deutlich bei mir."
[8.0] "Zuerst gedacht eine neue nervige Grinsebacke die einfach nun bei ROH ist und mich nervt. Schon gewaltig geirrt da er das seit Jahren sehr positiv und gut kommentiert. Man hört auch die Liebe zu ROH und Wrestling."

[8.0] "Ian Riccaboni ist wirklich sehr angenehm als Kommentator. Er versucht nicht künstlich witzig zu sein oder sich selbst over zu bringen. Klar macht er auch mal einen lustigen Spruch oder so aber es wirkt natürlich und organisch. Er called jetzt vielleicht nicht jeden Move und ist ein wandelndes Lexikon wie Mauro Ranallo aber er wirkt doch immer sehr professionell und zwar nicht nur als Kommentator sondern auch in Interviews. Er passt im positivsten Sinne nicht in die heutige Welt des Overgehypes a la Cole oder Matthews und ist irgendwie ein Throwback in die Zeit von Gordon Solie. Manchmal geht es zwar zu sehr in die andere Richtung sodass er doch sehr ruhig wirkt aber im Tandem mit Colt Cabana passt das wirklich gut. Insgesamt ist er in meinen Augen zurzeit die drei unter den Play-by-Play Kommentatoren hinter Billy Kirkwood und Mauro Ranallo."
