I liked the casket presentation, it really adds to the atmosphere in these matches, the music was good, and then... it was chaos. Vampiro was slowly wandering around the arena while being constantly attacked by opponents from his past. And Vampiro was getting saved by Octagon Jr. and Konan. It was chaotic, but at times it was so bad it was good. But the action was still too slow and too chaotic. I would have liked to see something more structured for Vampiro's farewell match."
[3.0] "This match was an enjoyable mess to watch with friends, but not much more than that. Vampiro meanders around the arena in a brawl with some random people I recognize, but don't know the significance of. Maybe they have something to do with his past? I certainly couldn't tell you because none of it made any sense to me. Anyways Vampiro finally starts brawling with El Mesias, and the moment of the match happens when the anti-vampiro team go to throw Vampiro in a coffin only to find out the actually deceased La Parka is inside as Thriller plays before being abruptly cut off as the coffin lid is closed. Vampiro then wins and then does a no doubt very emotional speech probably about his retirement that's been going on for the past decade at this point. So yeah, this match sucked, made no sense, and was possibly offensive, but I loved the overall experience of watching it."
"Vampiro seems like he's extremely intoxicated, severely disoriented, or both in this. I don't know if you can even really call it a match, Vampiro just kinda stumbles around getting beat up and looking like he has no idea what's going on. The only redeeming quality this has is that the thing with La Parka in the coffin where Thriller starts playing is literally the funniest thing I've ever seen in pro wrestling."
[7.0] "When they opened the casket and the camera zoomed in and it was a guy dressed as La Parka opening his eyes as the first notes of Thriller played over the sound system, only for the casket to be closed which in turn turned off the music, I knew this was special. This is a true "so bad it's good" match like that Jarrett/Hardy Chainsaw Massacre fuckfest. Vampiro's "retirement run" in AAA is emblematic of how fucked the company is (if giving the belt to Alberto twice wasn't already proof of that). I can't say this is good but I can say it should be watched."
[5.0] "AAA's overbooked matches are such a duality: either they work well or they instantly become a worst MOTYC. In this case, though, it's like somewhere in between that. This was the most confused I've been in years watching a wrestling match. Was it bad? YES, ABSOLUTELY. But somehow I couldn't get myself to hate it or even stop watching. So, I guess that it worked, good job AAA! Still, it's good that this was probably the last Vampiro's match in the company. He's a legend and he's better taking the boots off now."
[5.0] "Without context, I admit that I didn't understand much about this match. It's unclear when it starts and it boils down to an arena brawl against several different opponents before finally facing El Mesias. I guess it has something to do with Vampiro's career but I got dumped."
[9.0] "Wrapping up Vampiro's farewell tour. A very difficult match to rate, but it still looks favorable against two terrible tag team matches from past Triplemanias. It's hard to even call this a match - just a totally mess, but so cinematic that it's even a thrill to watch. Even Cien Caras and, probably, the new La Parka made an appearance during this madness! A beautiful and emotional send-off for Vampiro to retire."
[7.0] "This is somehow the best and the worst match of the year. Vampiro and a bunch of heels aimlessly brawl around the arena, and it is simultaneously awesome and awful. Also, the ghost of La Parka showed up in one of the caskets accompanied by Thriller. Peak AAA bullshit."
[8.0] "I don't know what I saw, what any of it means, who was wrestling Vampiro, what the goal was, anything. But I could not have been more entertained. Vampiro calling for a chair while El Mesias was just standing there bent over was the cherry on top. I guess I should specify that by all rational standards this "match" was terrible, but the entertainment value was unbelievable."
[10.0] "This was an absolute mess. I'm not certain anyone but Vampiro knew the rules. Quite possibly the most entertained I've been by a non match put on a major event in a long time. This nonstop retirement tour Vampiro is doing is incredible and only possible due to how awful AAA is. This is a must watch. It's only like 9 minutes, there's really no reason not to."
[5.0] "The one where Vampiro gets jumped by Jeff Jarrett, takes a slow walk around the arena occasionally getting jumped by his enemies while he looks confused, takes one bump, is nowhere to be seen when dead La Parka shows up in a coffin, has a temper tantrum when a chair is missing for the finish, wins, fake cries and retires from....this arena and this arena only. God bless pro wrestling, the greatest sport on earth."
