107.11.2024benny5bellys7.0This is a rematch from a violent barnburner these two had previously had. This one is much more circumspect with one fearing another beating and the other fearing another loss. Nagai has such awesome looking kicks, he really does look like he is throwing every ounce of his weight behind them. The work was fine but having seen Nagai and his bullying run, I really just want to watch him finally get fucking battered.
228.07.2024Shadow Explosion8.0Something to note about this match, is that this was originally supposed to be Hideki Suzuki vs. Takeshi Ono but Suzuki dropped out the week before so he was replaced by Futen mainstay Mitsuya Nagai for the rematch to their absolute classic at BATI-BATI 38. And I kinda wish we got that match instead. This is still a great match, it just doesn't live up to that last match. Here it's on more even footing and Ono is back to his assholish nature instead of being the face in peril. Ono does a great job working Nagai's leg, Nagai doesa great job selling even though he still throws those heavy kicks you can see him wincing and holding his leg at points. The submission work and ground game by both men is great. I loved Nagai finding his way to slam and throw Ono around. The ending kinda came out of nowhere but I was happy with the result. ****
305.11.2023CFOS8.0Great match where Ono does an awesome work on Nagai's leg but Nagai's selling is meh and he even kicks with the same leg by times, so he forget to sell. But otherwise, the rest has great grappling/submission work and awesome striking offenses with Ono being awesome. ****
