The speed and intensity in which the counters come in this is kinda nuts, the subtle movements to get into position and the scrappy nature they go at it is a ton of fun to watch. Ilyukhin is a scary looking dude with how jacked and quick he is, Zouev is a little slicker and more complete on the mat but Ilyukhin has this crazy presence and intensity behind him. Like a lot of RINGS matches this ever-so slightly outstays it's welcome and never ends at the real peak but even in the later stages of this Ilyukhin somehow turns a cross heel hook battle on the mat into a sharpshooter. Ilyukhin's rollthrough into a kesa-gatame was great too, |
