917.01.2025InfiniteWick6.0Mysterio doing what he does at his age is nothing short of incredible. I think, at this point at least, is moving close to how he was years and years ago. He's kind of ageless. Andrade is younger, and bumps around good for him. It's filled with great action and I think paced really well. I know Rey is a light guy but Andrade doing the top-rope powerbomb that he did here was insane. To hold onto him and maintain your balance as you head up to the top rope is just nutty. Deserved first fall. Mysterio hitting the Canadian Destroyer for the second fall was also great and was an incredibly deserved pinfall. The match has a shit ending with Samoa Joe interfering. With that, the match also has some glaring issues. I don't think anything here is sold all too well. Mysterio gets bumped onto his back like 6 different times, one of them into the ring-post, and he doesn't really sell long-term. I also didn't really see much of a story here, just two guys landing moves. Unfortunately, I don't think Rey is a good seller, at least in certain points of his career. I can understand, as he's more focused on catering to the crowd's wants but it'd be nice to see. Their isn't much story here, apart from exhaustion. Mysterio drinking water mid-match was beast. I know these two had history and whatnot, but it just doesn't feel very present here. I'll always like Mysterio's defense in matches. Whether that's his always impressive countering, or blocking a move like he did here. He is in the electric chair position with Andrade, and he holds his hands on the ropes. Andrade clubs his arms away. Its small, and something thats more on Andrade than Rey, but it's cool. My least favorite part comes from Rey's sliding sunset flip to the outside. Andrade being stanced up the way he was ruins my immersion. And even in the replay, you can kinda see he just walks up there. It actively sucks. My favorite part is when Andrade gets sunset flipped of the apron, backflips, counters a hurricanrana attempt, and throws Rey into the post. Should selling the back have been more of a point in this match, this moment would've mattered even more. It's fun, and has a lot of great moves and sequences, but it seems stale psychologically, and I can't help but think how much better this match would've been if they added more drama into the bout. 1027.09.2024devwil Outside of some nice spots (but also a super obvious and awkward botch), it's pretty ordinary WWE TV content. The finish is a total letdown and I'm surprised this is in a WWE Best of Rey collection on Peacock. I understand wanting to show off different eras of his career, but the playlist ending on this match is such a weak note.

2126.12.2023Bren08.0[4.25*] This was a great match between two incredible wrestlers. It's impressive how clean Andrade and Rey apply moves, the chemistry between them was instantaneous. The DQ at the end made this fight lose points.

3513.04.2023flightaker3218.0Another very good match between these two, and about the same level as their last match. We don't get to see much between the 1st two falls due to breaks, but I loved what they went for with Andrade scoring his 1st one due to a powerbomb, and then when he went for another powerbomb, but Rey countered it into a Canadian Destroyer to score the 2nd fall. The last fall is brilliant as it has amazing high spots, and counters, but also Andrade's viciousness was on full display here. His work on Rey's arm was great here, and Rey sold the beating that he took from Andrade very well. Samoa Joe's interference was more frustrating than Zelina getting involved in their last match because this was on track to be their best match yet.****1/4

5222.01.2022Prince Osborne7.0These two had a fascinating series of matches in 2019 & 2020 and this is a bout that is sadly forgotten in their series/rivalry. Both men had the groove and clicked so well with the execution of high-flying moves and counters with splendid smoothness and ease. The commercials and the disqualified finish hurt this match's rating but that doesn't take away from the excellent chemistry these two had. 3.5 out of 5 stars!

5427.11.2021TheLegitBoss8.0Another super good match between Andrade and Rey here to the surprise of absolutely no one I think as these two have a tremendous chemistry, you know the kind of really good wrestlers who naturally click together as soon as the bell rings and manage to make magic happen for you by just showing off their talent. They didn't overdo it, they kept it pretty sober but still gave us some quality spots of course with some Code Red, Hurricanrana and all that Rey Mysterio stuff that we love and I found it qualitative from start to finish. Not perfect and clearly inferior to their singles match the week before but I still really liked it, especially as it was something huge to see them in the main event spot with a stipulation like this. Just disappointed with the finish with Samoa Joe spoiling the party but the match itself is worth a look, the company did well to exploit their chemistry at that time.

5625.01.2021pierreMinne8.0This was a very good match, maybe the best weekly match I saw from WWE in 2019. Andrade has an incredible selling, Mysterio too and apart from the botch of the Crucifix pin by Mysterio attempting to do the last fall, everything was very well executed. I loved the way how the first fall ended, Andrade's Diving Powerbomb was sick. ****

7014.09.2019arrancar6.0Another pretty good meeting between these two. The ad breaks sadly got in the way quite a bit, but that didn't stop these two from hitting some sweet, flawless acrobatic spots in and around the ring. Mysterio was somehow still incredibly crisp for his age, and Andrade was obviously super smooth as well. Andrade's 1st fall with the top-rope powerbomb was great, as was Mysterio's Canadian Destroyer for his own 1st fall immediately afterwards. They sadly ended up fumbling their otherwise flawless chemistry by very awkwardly botching what I assume was going to be a springboard backflip ddt -- the same one Mysterio hit in his Hallowen Havoc match with Eddie -- and then they hit a super contrived-looking reverse frankensteiner. But hey, Rey then set up for the 619, so maybe the match was still on track to being really good? Well, this is WWE, so no. We instead got Samoa Joe interfering to end the match by DQ, totally deflating the drama that had built up to that point. That definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, and ensured by default that the match could not regain the magic, . This was still a pretty good match for those moments when it was a full-on spotfest, but the finish left it as a disappointment. ***1/4

8505.02.2019Dragon Fighter8.0Another spectacular showcase from both. This reminded me a bit of CMLL formula of 2 out of 3 falls. First fall was quick as Andrade hit the super powerbomb. But then Rey also revenged by the Canadian Destroyer. The third fall was going to be great yet the lame, predictable booking from WWE prevented it. Overall, still great stuff and i would love another match without anything bullshit from these 2.

9527.01.20197OEA78.08. 55/10 : I'm appalled by the number of people who preferred the earlier one to this one, I preferred this one by far. Granted I see where the criticism come from, but spots-wise ain't no arguing this one is head and shoulders above its predecessor. Hell, it's head and shoulders above 90% of main roster matches, this felt like it was something out of NXT. At least I'm happy I enjoyed myself watching this. Crazy spot after crazy spot, innovation did not stop all match long, I loved the story, I loved the psychology, I loved both falls coming without any finishers and I loved the protective finish. I don't know about the rest of you but I had a blast watching one of the best Smackdown matches in recent memory.
9627.01.2019gumo1236.0I'm a big fan of this two, but this match was really dissapointing, specially considering the good work they've been doing in recent weeks. But when you make a 2 out of 3 falls bwetween this two, you hope something more an instant classic, but it wasn't the case, the match was ok, but there were some botches and the commercial breaks didn´t help, and the final of the match made things even worse, hopefully we'll get a rematch.
