So kommt man doch gut in die Show rein.

Not the biggest Elite fan but nothing they did was offensive and Darby returning so quickly after his foot injury and bus incident was a genuine surprise. Cameron vs Storm was the weakest match on the card but it wasn't bad just unremarkable."

The opening match between Kyle Fletcher and Jeff Cobb and the Blackpool Combat Club was very good. The match between the Young Bucks and Matt Sydal and Christopher Daniels didn't quite hit that level, but it was still enjoyable, especially considering the declining physical condition of Daniels. Hook squashed Sebastian Wolfe in a match that didn't really matter. Swerve Strickland and Brian Cage had the match of the night, while Toni Storm vs. Harley Cameron was surprisingly good considering Cameron's relative inexperience. Finally, Kazuchika Okada and Dax Harwood had an excellent closing match."

[7.0] "This was a good show, with a couple of really fun matches and some really great angles. BCC vs. United Empire was a good opening bout, really liked the finish. HOB attacking Copeland and O'Reilly was great. More of this and less spooky lights games. Malakai also cut a good promo later on in the show. YB vs. Sydal/Daniels was forgettable, great post-match angle. Matthew fired Daniels and Jack Perry poured an energy drink on poor Schiavone at commentary. Hook/Jericho stuff was meh, I'm just tired of Jericho and I'm not looking foward to see another match between these two. Swerve vs. Brian Cage was my match of the night, really fun and entertaining. Awesome post-match angle too. I loved the visual of Swerve's picture with his daughter soaked in blood, sick. Storm vs. Cameron was mid, good finish though. Not super excited for Debb vs. Storm. Nice little backstage segment between Ospreay and Roddy Strong too. Mercedes and Willow's contract signing was great, they did a really good job at building this match and I'm really looking foward to see it. Okada vs. Dax was good but something was slightly off. Good action but there were a couple of really ankward moments. Post-match with Darby Allin returning to team up with Team AEW was an awesome ending. Darby broke his foot and got hit by a bus and he's fucking back already, what a maniac! Overall: the angles carried the show. Wrestling wise it was good but nothing great however all the segments were great."

Swerve & Cage got after it, and Cage continues to be one of the unsung heroes of the company. The best storyline in the industry Timeless Toni Storm continues to be the highlight of the show, and Harley Cameron continues to impress me. Okada & Dax delivered a hard chopping fight as expected. Big pop for hometown boys Danielson and Darby to close out the show."

[6.0] "Why in AEW every match has to be some fucking thing? A grudge match of Cameron and Storm? What? Where did that come from? Was not that tag match a regular one before they randomly turned it into an eliminator too? YB talked shit, as usual, and Daniels stood up, found a partner and they brawled. It's all there's to it. Can't say Cage vs Strickland did need to be an eliminator either. No harm done but it became an unnecessary gimmick for your 'regular' non-title defenses, they are unearned but given for whatever reasons. Daniels got a strong reaction from the crowd, he deserved that. Him getting fired will fuel the storyline though I cringed a bit during the YB's promo. The match itself was pretty forgettable if anything more. The opener was a fun chaotic brawl, being only a small preview into Anarchy of the Arena, Jeff Cobb did good. Strickland vs Cage was a real treat, a reminder of what Cage is capable of. I hope he gets to get more TV time. Didn't like Okada/Harwood as much, barely had the big match feeling compared to Swerve/Cage. Moving forward, while Dax the Axe is much more than only being a tag specialist, his pairing with Okada lacked specialty. Again, it was nothing bad but it was another day at the office and didn't help Okada's reign much which once again made me think it should have not been a title match. Darby reveal was cool, Strong-Ospreay and Malakai promos were fire, Nightingale&Mone contact signing was ok, once again mostly carried by Nightingale and Hook/Bill/Jericho angle was awkward as you'd think it would be."

The Bucks match was bad, and Harley a nice surprise, she showed solid things in the ring. Swerve's defense was good, and I was expecting more of the main event, but the match was still nice, and Darby Allin returning to join Team AEW was sensational, I love him, he's gonna be incredible in the match as always."

Unfortunately after this I lost interest especially with alot of the elite stuff, I'm just really not into this new young bucks gimmick. The rest of the matches were somewhat disappointing. I understand that the elite vs aew angle is their big thing but really Swerve vs cage should be the main event, it really feels like Swerve isn't getting treated like a world champ so far."

[6.0] "I think Dynamite still suffers a little from matches which feel like they don't have a great deal of consequence but there's a decent consistancy right now between episodes. I like that Swerve's sins as a heel have come back to haunt him. That stuff is usually forgotten about in pro wrestling when you turn face. Ospreay may lean into the 'Bruv' thing a little too much but it's crazy to think that just a few years ago people were calling him a terrible promo. Now he's pretty good at providing intensity and sounbites for promo material. It was also good to see Strong get a little more serious and intense. Schiavone getting doused was funny but it was missing one thing: Perry getting in his wet face and screaming "Woo! ". Harley Cameron has a lot of personality but this trend of rookies getting matches with the champ after losing to Mariah May is a strange one. Storm's gimmick is growing on me a little. I have a softspot for gimmicks which shouldn't work being made into something with absolute commitment to the part. She can definitely reel off her lines well. The matches didn't land for me quite as much as they did for others but they were mostly okay. I think I actually liked the opening tag the most because it didn't overstay its welcome and I thought they handled those final few minutes where tag rules go out the window fairly well. Darby is surely still banged up but you know that won't hold him back. He's a good replacement for Kingston in that regard and AEW are lucky to have him at hand."

[9.0] "Super enjoyable Dynamite this week. The Elite anchoring Dynamite has brought this show to life in a way that I think had been missing for quite some time. First off the bat, I need to acknowledge how much better Jack Perry has gotten at talking. His commentary on the Young Bucks match was fantastic. The post-match angle with the firing of Christoper Daniels was very well done and just adds heat to the already detestable Young Bucks. Hook's return leading into his segment with Jericho was very fun. Jericho's reinvention as the Learning Tree proves yet again how this guy can take on all of the criticisms thrown at him and turn it into an extremely entertaining character. Swerve's presentation as champion is getting better and better each week. His match with Brian Cage was a lot of fun and his shenanigans with Christian Cage has set up an intriguing if not slightly predictable first pay-per-view title defence for Swerve. Finally, as if it still needs to be said, I still can't get over the fact that we get to see Kazuchika Okada wrestle on national television on a weekly basis. Great match with Dax here and the return of Darby Allin was the icing on a cake that was a great episode of Dynamite."

Like entrance theme of Danielson just goes on playing and they destroy Fletscher /Cobb and crowd going nuts. AEW got a huge roster and a lot of variety with guys like Cobb etc. So much talent in technical wrestling + NJPW Stars. Together with the new stage and in ring design they can produce good shows now. Although i think Dynamite branding should be more simpel without that much color. The colorful lightning of the two entrances appears cheap and is to big. But proportions of the stage are good with the big screen. All in all some funny moments + again great technical wrestling = 9 points"

(Though Darby may have gotten himself concussed and apparently his foot still isn't 100%, so who knows if he'll actually be at Double or Nothing...) I guess House of Black stealing Adam Copeland's wedding ring was an interesting development in that feud, but that storyline has been hit or miss for me, so whatever. Best line of the night belongs to Katsuyori Shibata (or rather, to the "translator" on his phone) when he said of Samoa Joe's shirt: "He's too large to be wearing a floral pattern." I really love how unexpectedly funny Shibata has been recently..."

Promos and storyline advancements were generally excellent throughout the show and I love how many stories are starting to intertwine and the little seeds that are being planted for future developments. With so many top stars available, there is so much fun stuff you can do and it is starting to come together quite nicely. Match of the night was Swerve and Cage, the latter of which had his best outing in years. The main event was strong, too, and every other match was decent to good. Personal highlight of the night was Toni Storm's promo, closely followed by Ospreay and Roderick tearing into each other in their promo battle. So much good stuff."

Darby Allin is a mad man. Hoffe, dass man da nicht zu viel Risiko geht und den Typen sich einfach verheizt, aber er würde es nicht anders wollen. Swerve und Cage im Segment sind ok, Toni mit Wortmeldungen auch besser als im Ring."

I will say Swerve versus Cage was a very solid match. I wish we would have had that as the main event of the night as the World Title should be the focal point of the show. I also am kinda shocked at how Swerve has been booked thus far. The main event wasn't bad either as Okada shows again how good he is in the ring. There were some solid matches but the show felt like it was a drag at times. I do appreciate the effort going into storytelling for the ppv matches coming up however it felt like another flat episode. Okada did very well in the ring however I feel like the show still is striving for moments instead of layers to a story that should lead into the pay per view. There is room for improvement but there are some bright spots on the show to applaud like the Okada match."

The segment after that with Christian Cage was excellent, vicious, violent, great heel work by The Patriarchy group and Swerve Strickland still look like a killer. The crowd was perfect for their home town favorites, Bryan Danielson got a heartwarming reaction, his match was good but we didn't see enough of Jeff Cobb, that guy is incredible. The Elite storyline is still awesome, from the Young Bucks tag match with Jack Perry on commentary to the end of the show, they did a good heel job. Mercedes Moné is more interesting on her live promo since the Daily's Place one, tonight was good too, Willow did great on the delivery and powerbomb through the table. I expected a little more from the rest, Copeland/Malakai was cool but the segment too short, Jericho was alright once again, Okada vs Harwood was good but I wanted more. Darby Allin coming back to a huge pop, my god that Anarchy in the Arena is gonna be crazy!"

The live crowd did not care about what Mercedes was doing or saying during the contract signing. They actually cheered when Mercedes took a bump and went through the table. I think that the crowd was the most hyped during the Swerve match and were even more electric with the stuff that happened post-match, I was kind of expecting Nick Wayne to come out from the crowd and attack Swerve because Nick is from Everett and there was no way they were not going to have him on the show and he got booed out of the building. Bryan Danielson got a amazing pop from the Everett AEW audience and the loudest pop was when Darby came out and everyone in the crowd was shocked to see Darby."

The elite continue to be very entertaining while keeping the heat on them where they fire Daniels and perry pouring his drink on Schiavone. the women's title feud then continued and it's still not great, with toni wrestling as a babyface while maybe still being a heel, not for me. Joe in a floral shirt was great. excellent match then between cage and swerve until the patriarchy came out with some great call backs to their previous feud. brilliant backstage promos then between ospraey and strong, which makes it look like there is real heat. finally Mercedes took a bump and is starting to act like a heel. great main event was then followed by a great surprise. "The two major problems of this show from my point of view are (and they co-relate): all the matches are 50/50. Not in terms of wins and losses but in terms of the matches themselves with main-eventers going against undercard wrestlers in long matches where they look equal. The other problem is that top babyfaces look weak. Both Swerve and Copeland have too much trouble beating opponents that should be beneath them and both looked weak in their angles this week. Other things of note: Willow and Moné's story lacked focus but this angle was decent. Moné is great in the ring and Willow could be so I'm looking forward to the match. I did enjoy the main event (the only match I liked on the show) as a good way to build the feud. I wish they'd focus more on single matches to show how good Okada is before putting him in multiman matches."

Dax vs. Okada was also a very good night capper (***3/4). What put this show over the top was the angles: The Roddy/Ospreay faceoff was excellent, the Mercedes/Willow segment did wonders of hyping the match and made both seem like mega stars, and the Patriarchy/Swerve angle was as brutal and as personal as it gets. Darby also got a crazy pop on his return. Remove the Jericho segment and this is the perfect episode of Dynamite"

The stories they're building for DoN were the focus of the episode, however, and there was a real coherent quality to the way stories and matches were interlaced throughout the night (e.g., Copeland's beatdown was followed later by a pre-tape promo by Malakai Black, the Eddie Kingston injury announcement led to anticipation on the reveal of the fourth Anarchy in the Arena participant, Swerve's feud with the Mogul Embassy blended nicely into his longer-running feud with Christian/Wayne). I also thought the TBS Championship contract signing angle was quite effective at establishing the face/heel dynamic for the match, and both Mercedes and Willow did a nice job of building to a huge pop for the table spot."

I thought the Willow and Mercedes segment had major shit-the-bed potential but went way better than expected and ended strong. Christian and Swerve angle really heated up the fued and the return of Darby was a great surprise. The only stinker for me was Jericho/HOOK. 'Learning Tree' Jericho is clicking for some people but not for me. Leaning into internet criticism works for some guys but is not working here for Jericho, who could easily fix this entire issue by just fucking off for six months. I'm not at all a HOOK fan either so that angle was a total miss for me."

[5.0] "It was an okay episode, but at the end of the day okay is not bad, nor good, is just mediocre and for me at this point the show is seen only in proportion of 30%. The matches are fine, but if you seen more than 100 matches in your life is just repetitive, and not much really impresses me at this point, besides any match without a story or a proper background is just there. And that brings me to my main point regarding AEW, it became repetitive, redundant and monotone. I've been so excited about this company when they started (maybe the buzz helped in this manner too) and I saw a lot of potential of going more aggressive, more mature and maybe better storylines, which was pretty fine in their first years. Now, almost every storyline kinda follows the same pattern, there is nothing exciting ahead and what's worse the most exciting things they got, they failed to capitalize on: Adam Cole vs MJF, Don Callis vs Omega, The Pinnacle, Jay White, Wardlow, Daniel Garcia, Miro, Adam Page and the list could go, now Swerve is thrown in the mid card while being the champ because the focus is Elite vs AEW (which is a good storyline or at least it's the only thing that might prove me wrong). It's so weird when you see a guy getting bigger and bigger and then for no reason he disappears with no explanation, no background, nothing - for example look at Rhea vs Liv, they turned an injury to an angle. AEW suffers from this on and off pushing style and not drawing a line between who is a main-eventer and who is not. It's like they are trying so hard to get all people over and all people to be considered a top threat, while nobody can be seen as the top guy or at least the top guys. There are so many world-class wrestlers, no doubt of that, but in terms of how they are presented, nobody is the main attraction. The only one who is in that category is MJF, but his title reign wasn't that great to be fair. We have so many titles, but again, which one is more important? They have so many champions and that makes even harder to understand who is more important than who. There are 17 titles (adding the NJPW one) in just a roster, which is crazy. It's like they don't seem that important to begin with, cause at some point you will be a champion. Can someone tell me what is the difference between the International, TNT and Continental championships? Which one is more important and why would you want to win one of them? For me is just a reason to give people a feud, which is lazy booking. People are drawn to stories, storytelling and drama. It doesn't have to be soap opera, but it has to be intriguing. So far, I don't see a good reason to tune in to every show of Dynamite or Collision. I don't feel like I am losing something important or that stories are advancing so much. AEW feels like a limbo, where everyone is stuck in an infinite loop."

[9.0] "Show was more stacked than previous Dynamites, there really wasn't any filler in here, the pace was very high. Very fun opening match in a classic Dynamite fashion with music brawl in the beginning. Swerve was booked very good by having a proper match that shows he is the best guy on the roster, which is why he is holding that title. They could have done a 6 minute match but the longer one really showcased his energy and intensity. The post-match with Christian was great, Swerve is a hunted man and the centerpiece of Dynamite. The Bucks match was nothing really, but the post match worked, even though it would work a bit better if Daniels was on TV the past few weeks and not just a 1 week idea. Yes, the crowd chanted "Fallen Angel" but some longer storyplanning would make this better. The Learning Tree gimmick took a bit of a turn again, it's starting to get worse again now that they are out of Canada, the lowlight of the show. Hopefully Joe ends this soon. Ospreay had a great promo on Strong, and Willow & Moné had the biggest segment of the show, which leaps Nightingale into stardom. The slow turn of Moné worked really well over tha last month, Willow benefits a ton here. Then the main event which was good even if not great. Again, Dynamite is carried by the segments for me, which felt like a go home show caliber, and the wrestling was also better than the weeks prior with top stars being featured in every match rather than midcarders."

Willow Nightingale cut an absolutely killer promo, The Bucks vs CD and Sydal was very fun, I was laughing my head off at the Jericho/Bill/HOOK segment, the backstage promos were all good (I was surprised with just how good Ospreay's was, considering I'm not much of a fan) and the final match of Harwood vs Okada was a blast.
