Ruff sieht dabei ziemlich schwach aus und weiss das auch, weshalb er Priest im Nachgang konfrontiert. Das folgende Blindfold-Match ist Slapstick und gar nicht mal so unlustig. An der Seite von LeRae kann Hartwell einen Sieg mitnehmen, aber das sind auch irgendwie keine ernsthaften Gegner. Danach macht Kushida die Brücke für den Erfolg über den nicht uninteressanten Ruas. Das Tag-Match der Damen direkt im Anschluß ist ziemlich akzeptabel, wohingegen bei Thatcher Denst nach Vorschrift genügt, um seinen Gegner in die Submission zu treiben. Die Konfrontation mit Ciampa ist da irgendwie cool. Priest und Gargano geraten noch einmal handgreiflich aneinander. Vor dem Mainer der Episode darf man getrost den TV-Hut ziehen, das ist seriöse und unterhaltsame Arbeit. Die letzten Momente der Episode gehören Balor, der sich unerwartet eher auf Seiten der ERA im Zwist mit der McAfee-Fraktion wiederfindet. Nicht immer hochklassige, aber überwiegend kurzweilige Episode. |

Finn is back too . Only problem is that the 1st hour was comparatively underwhelming as compared to the 2nd hour. A couple of squash matches in the 1st hour which are important but I think NXT does way too much of these squashes. Not a fan of the blindfold match . The tag match was fun with Toni and Ember winning. It is a 7 for me. |

Das Abschlusssegment bietet dennoch einige Gründe, warum es dann doch nach dem guten Main Event passiert und nicht als Segment davor. Erwartungsgemäße Paarung stabil eingeleitet. Aber auch hinter vor Main Event kann sich NXT diese Woche erneut sehen lassen. Die Story um Gargano, Ruff und Priest ist kurzweilig und bunt erzählt. Wenn Ruff da letztendlich mit Rückenwind aus der Story geht, hat man alles richtig gemacht. Bisher ist man auf einem guten Weg. Könnte ein interessantes Triple Threat-Match werden. Grimes arbeitet immer noch den Halloween Havoc auf und erlebt dabei mit Dexter eine passende Episode. Das ist mehr Segment als Match und dann auch solide. Die Damen sortieren sich ebenfalls für den Käfig und machen das solide. Ruas ist zurück bei NXT, aber auch nur um für Kushida in einem akzeptablen Match zu jobben. Thatcher bekommt es mit Ciampa zu tun und bei Grey hoffe ich ja weiterhin, dass der bald für seine guten Ansätze belohnt wird. Die Story um Boa & Co hat weiterhin einen guten Mystery-Faktor. Ember Moon & Co zeigen im zweiten anständigen Match des Tages dann auch sehenswerte Action, sodass NXT hier eine gute Mischung aus Aufbau und offener Action bietet. Gute Ausgabe! |

And although non of the matches except for the main event stood out, there were a good amount of storytelling and build up for the next Takeover which imo is gonna be WAr games. the only thing I am disappointed by is that we still don't have a clear picture about Balor's injuries and the state of the NXT Title. |

| 20 | 21.11.2020 | Sebastian V | 8.0 | Im Opener besiegt Leon Ruff Johnny Gargano aber das nur, weil Damian Priest Ruff umhaut, sodass Gargano disqualifiziert wird. Die Story entwickelte sich hier in eine interessante Richtung, dass Priest Ruff benutzen will aber Ruff akzeptiert das nicht und will auch keine Lachnummer sein sodass er bei Regal ein Match gegen beide fordert. Mir gefällt hier die Darstellung von Ruff. Grimes gegen Lumis ist ein Match mit einer ungewöhnlichen Stipulation, die aber durchaus hier passt und auch dann von beiden ja geschickt umgangen wird, was auch gut ist da diese Matchart sonst nur Rumgestolper ist. LeRae und Hartwell haben ihr erstes Tag Team Match zusammen nach der Auflösung der Geschichte mit der Screammaske und das ist für die Länge echt gelungen. Ähnliches gilt auch für Kushida gegen Ruas. Das folgende Tag Team Match der Damen ist wirklich mehr als anständig. Toni Storm zeigt seit ihrem Comeback ansprechende Leistungen und so auch hier im Team mit Ember Moon und sie haben eine gute Chemie mit Kai und Gonzalez. Ein weiteres kürzeres Match aber auch hier zugunsten einer Storyline nämlich der zwischen August Grey AKA Anthony Greene und Timothy Thatcher. Ich finde gut, dass man ersteren direkt in eine Fehde gegen jemanden packt, der schon ein gewisses Standing. Ein hohes Standing haben auch die beiden Damen im ME - und das völlig zu recht wie man hier sieht. Ein wirklich sehr gutes Match, was technisch, in Sachen Intensität, vom Aufbau und von der Spannung her überzeugt. Ich finde es auch hier nach ganz gut, wie sich Ios Jubel noch ein mit Balor überschneidet, der dann das starke Abschlussegment einleitet, welches das War Games Match zwischen UE und der McAfee Gruppierung aufbaut. Das ist auch generell das, was diese Episode gut macht: Wrestlerisch stach vor Allem das ME und dann auch durchaus noch das Tag Match der Damen hervor und ansonsten gab es einige kürzere Matches aber es waren die Storyfortführungen, welche diese Show gut machten, sodass 8 Punkte verdient sind. |

Great to see the match get 20mins+ on television and the finishing angle was excellent as well. The first 30 minutes of the show was a baffling, with two weak comedy matches back-to-back. | 26 | 20.11.2020 | BLooD | 5.0 | Durchschnittliche Ausgabe von NXT. Der Opener war solide. Gargano gelingt auch bei seinem Rematch nicht die erwartete Titeleroberung. Ruff behält den Titel länger als gedacht dank des Eingriffs von Priest. Für die Dauer war das ziemlich anschaulich. Lumis vs Grimes war grauenhaft. Sorry Blindfold Matches sind unlustig und sinnfrei. Die Women waren schlecht. Indi und Candice siegen erwartungsgemäß. Ruas vs Kushida war schlecht. Sollte Ruas dank des Drafts nicht bei RAW sein? Anscheinend hat man null Planung mit ihm und muss weiter jobben. Die Women #2 waren in Ordnung. Ganz gutes Match. Ember und Toni tun NXT echt gut. Candice und Indi attackieren die Faces mit Beteiligung von Dakota und Raquel. Grey vs Thatcher war schlecht. Wieder ein kurzes Match wovon es zu viele gab. Thatcher erwartet Ciampa als nächsten Gegner. Priest sollte ein Match bestreiten doch Gargano und Ruff prügeln sich gegenseitig. Der Main-Event war sehr gut. Ziemlich starkes Match mit Rheas letzter Chance den Titel wieder zu gewinnen. Mich würde es nicht wundern wenn sie bei RAW oder SmackDown demnächst auftaucht. Das Endsegment war gut. McAfee ist gewohnt das Ass am Mikro. Wieder eine geile und bestimmt ungescriptete Promo. Die nächsten War Games stehen an mit McAfees Gruppe und der Undisputed Ära. Balor war auch da doch wer sein Gegner wird ist fraglich. |

Great women? s title match, that featured the best selling I? ve ever seen from Rhea Ripley. The end of the show was perfect, a great kickoff to Team Mcafee vs the UE. Great intensity in their brawl. The Women? s tag was also good. The less said about the 1st hour, the better. |

We started with a really great vignette explaining Leon Ruff's journey, I thought it was really cool that we were really introduced to him. Leon vs. Gargano was a decent outing that I liked but they could have done much better. The Blindfold thing was all about Cameron Grimes and he was the only one I was interested in, since for me Lumis' NXT run is a disaster. The vignette on Shotzi announcing the War Games made me jump out of my seat because I was so happy, I really didn't expect a War Games this year but let's go. Candice & Indi vs. Kayden & Kacy was all about showcasing the new team and that's all, the work was fine. Ruas vs. Kushida was solid and I hope Ruas stays at NXT because he has a ton of potential. The women's tag team match was the second best match of the night, really fun and good stuff all around. Grey vs. Thatcher is what it was supposed to be, Thatcher for the last few months has been on a huge downhill slope due to a terrible booking. However I'm expecting something great against Ciampa who came to confront him, give them a match at TakeOver. The brawl between Gargano, Priest and Ruff was fun and I'm glad Ruff justifies that by saying that nobody takes him seriously. Happy for Kevin Owens too who will be on commentary on NXT next week, I'm really looking forward to it. Boa's stuff was kinda weird but I don't judge, I'm waiting to see more. Io vs. Rhea was obviously MOTN, a massive show-down between the two stars of this women's division, they clearly delivered and put on a banger. The final angle was great with the return of Finn Bálor, a strong promo from McAfee and then the long-awaited return of Undisputed Era. This was crazy stuff. Overall I enjoyed this episode a lot, some things weren't really good but they are forgotten thanks to the return of UE, the excellent Io vs. Rhea and the good character work here and there. War Games is gonna be incredible, I'm convinced. |
