NXT-Superstar
Tyler Breeze war bei Brian Fritz von Sporting News zu Gast, um die bevorstehenden NXT Live Events zu bewerben. Er sprach unter Anderem über NXT und die Road Trips:
"Es ist so klasse in einer coolen Atmosphäre. Das ganze bringt ein so tolles Gefühl mit sich. Wir haben NXT schon so bekannt gemacht, dass wirklich jeder aufgeregt ist. Als wir in Philadelphia und Albany waren, war die Stimmung einfach nur grandios. Das kann man mit den TV-Kameras nicht einfangen, sondern das muss man live miterleben."
"It's so underground. It's such a cool atmosphere. There's such a cool feeling to it. We've really been branching NXT out so far that everybody is excited about it. The fact that you can feel it. Like, if you come to the shows we're having in Philadelphia and Albany, the atmosphere is so cool. You can't capture it on TV. You have to actually be in there and feel it." Auch auf seinen Charakter kam Breeze zu sprechen:
"Zunächst wollte ich jemand sein, dass das alles von außen betrachtet. Ich fing an alte Aufnahmen von
Gorgeous George zu schauen, welche bemerkenswert waren. Es war grandios. Er war seiner Zeit weit voraus. Und ich hab mir viel davon abgeguckt und herumexperimentiert. Und ich nahm ein bisschen
Buddy Rogers und fügte ein wenig
Shawn Michaels hinzu und ein wenig
Bret Hart. Der Charakter heute besteht aus vielen Stücken und Teilchen aus vielerlei Material."
"At first, I just wanted to be someone on the outside looking in. I started watching a lot of old Gorgeous George stuff which was remarkable. It was awesome. It was really ahead of its time. And I took a lot of that and just tested it out. And I took some Buddy Rogers and then I added in some Shawn Michaels. I added in some Bret Hart. It was bits and pieces from a lot of different stuff that came into what the character is now."Als letztes kam Breeze auf die Überleitung seines Charakters auf das WWE TV zu sprechen:
"Wenn man mich ein mal gesehen hat, kann man mich auch bei Google oder auf dem WWE Network finden. Es gibt schon so viel Material mit NXT, den Special Events, den TakeOvers, dass man im Prinzip in fünf Minuten herausfinden kann, was mein Charakter darstellt. Ich glaube, der Übergang von NXT zu RAW und SmackDown wird einfach. Nur dadurch, dass wir wissen, wie man es macht, wird es innovativ und grandios gestalten. Mein Charakter und die Tatsache, dass ich vielen neuartigen Kram machen kann - in Hinsicht auf Technologie und auf Sachen, die vorher nicht gezeigt wurden - macht das alles so cool. Und ich glaube, dass die Möglichkeiten grenzenlos sind. Ich bin sehr gespannt, wohin uns NXT bringen wird."
"If they see me once, they can Google me or look on the WWE Network. We have so much content on there already with NXT and with the live specials — the TakeOvers — are on there that you can really find out who I am in essentially five minutes. I think the transition from NXT to Raw and Smackdown is going to be an easy one. Just knowing how we do stuff I think it will be really innovative and really cool. My character and the fact that I get to do a lot of modern stuff in terms of technology and in terms of a lot of stuff that really hasn't been done before. I think it should be really cool and I think the ideas and the possibilities are endless with this. I'm really excited to see where we go with it."
