ROH: Das mysteriöse Project 161 - Was ist das eigentlich?

Die Nachricht, dass Jimmy Rave Ring Of Honor verlassen habe, lässt die Frage aufkommen, wie dies angesichts des Vertrages beider Parteien möglich ist. Bei genauerer Betrachtung der Situation stößt man bald auf "Project 161". Was sich dahinter verbirgt, lesen Sie am besten selbst in der folgenden Zusammenfassung. Die Informationen werden kontinuierlich zusammengetragen vom englischsprachigen Project 161 Blog.


Hinweise

30. Juli:

1. Bei den ROH Shows am 27. und 28. Juli wurden Flyer mit folgender Aufschrift von Fans gefunden:

Nothing Saves
A WORLD Without HONOR Will
Suffer

www.abusedsociety.com

Laut Fanberichten wurden diese Flyer auf jedem Platz gefunden, während andere behaupten, dass sie verteilt wurden und wieder andere meinen sich zu erinnern, dass sie an den Hallenwänden gehangen hätten. Möglicherweise treffen alle drei Dinge zu.

2. Auf den WC-Spiegeln der Hallen der o.g. Shows standen die Worte "ABUSED SOCIETY" geschrieben.

3. Die Internetseite http://www.abusedsociety.com zeigt die amerikanische Freiheitsstatue, die aus dem rechten Auge blutet, sowie die Worte "NOTHING SAVES" und das folgende Gedicht:

the stench of pathetic, resigned to blood and rust
everything wasted

you will soon discover

Am Boden der Seite werden die Worte "Project 161" wiederholt.

4. Ein Klick auf die Worte "YOU WILL SOON DISCOVER" führt zu einer zweiten Internetseite (auch über nhsociety.com erreichbar). Diese zeigt eine Stadt im Abendhimmel und das Gedicht:

Auch hier ist "Project 161" deutlich als Unterschrift zu erkennen.


5. Auf dem ROH Message Board werden jegliche Nennungen von "Project 161" umgehend gelöscht.

31. Juli:

6. Auf dem ROH Message Board erscheinen mehrere Themen eines neuen Users namens "TheWorldsParasite". Im Profil des Users war der AIM Nutzername "project161" angegeben. Nachrichten an diesen AIM Nutzer wurden mit dem Link auf www.abusedsociety.com beantwortet.

Diese Themen wurden erst nach einigen Stunden von Forenwächtern gelöscht.

8. Seit einigen Monaten war die Registrierung für das ROH Message Board außer Kraft gesetzt. Erst kurz vor dem Erscheinen der obigen Themen wurde die Registrierung wieder erlaubt, nur um sie Stunden später wieder außer Kraft zu setzen.

9. Die Internetseiten www.abusedsociety.com und www.nhsociety.com sind auf einen Shawn Dixon registriert. Dies kann von jedem Interessierten über www.whois.org herausgefunden werden. Die dort angegebene E-Mail-Adresse führt zur MySpace-Seite http://www.myspace.com/76716385, wo folgendes Bild herstammt:



Der erste Eintrag unter "Freunde" auf der MySpace-Seite verlinkt zur MySpace-Seite von ROH Booker Gabe Sapolskys Ehefrau.

10. Die Seite http://www.abusedsociety.com hat sich verändert. Fortan ist dort das MySpace-Bild von ROH Booker Gabe Sapolsky und dessen Ehefrau prominent zu sehen, auch wenn es grafisch verändert wurde. Hier das Beweisbild: http://foxybanana.com/~bhearsum/project161_files/358702698_l.jpg

11. Sapolsky sendet folgende E-Mail an den Urheber des Blogs:

This Project 161 stuff has really gotten out of hand. I don't know who it is but they are calling me at home now, bringing my family into it. The whole website thing is just pulling my family into this thing and playing right into their hands. I'm trying to figure out who is behind this but please don't let them bring my personal life into it and please take the pics of them off your site.

Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ist der Blogschreiber unsicher, wie er weiter vorgehen soll.

12. Das ROH Message Board wird erneut attackiert, dieses Mal von einem User namens "Honor 161":

Auch dieses Mal werden die Beiträge nicht sofort gelöscht, sondern erst Stunden später.

13. Sapolsky schreibt auf dem ROH Message Board:

Ok, all this crap ends now. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm in a bad mood because I am. I am trying my best to keep my composure. I just had a long day/night of production on the Japan DVDs. I sign on here, I'm actually feeling pretty good about things because I just watched a lot of great wrestling from our Japan shows. So what do I find:

1) A private email I send to someone requesting that photos and information about my family be taken off a website is now made public. This is my family, not an angle. Understand that. When I send you an email it is private. When I make a request about my family it is real. Lets get that straight right now.

2) The clowns who are attempting to f*** with my life and ROH, which is my life, spam this board again after it takes me two hours the other night to clean it up. Not only that, but other people decide to jump in. I am about to start banning people like crazy so I suggest everyone read the rules and stick to them quickly. My patience is running out. Again, I am trying to keep my composure here, but I have had enough. I now have to go clean up the board again after a long day of production. I suggest if you are in doubt about something you posted that you delete it to yourself. I will ban anyone involved with any posts that are in doubt of breaking any rules. This is a warning. If this doesn't apply to you and you are a productive member of this board I apologize and please ignore this rant.

3) Now we have more people than ever checking this board and it is a disgrace to the company. I want everyone to know that police have been alerted and I will do whatever I can to stop these websites and harrassment both to me personally and my wife. This is your warning. Stop it now.

That is all for now. I'm not playing a sick game here. It is over and I need to go back to doing what deserves my attention and that's making ROH and FIP as good as possible for you.

Gesammelte Spekulationen

1. Die blutende Freiheitsstatue erinnert an Jimmy Jacobs, der in den Monaten vor seiner Verletzung mit aufgemalten Bluttränen angetreten ist. Jacobs ROH Charakter ist derzeit in einer Übergangsphase, nachdem er über ein Jahr mit BJ Whitmer gefehdet und um die Gunst von Lacey gekämpft hat. Nachdem er Whitmer besiegen konnte, kamen sich Jacobs und Lacey endlich näher, was in vier You Tube-Videos festgehalten wurde:

Am Ende des 4. Tages haben Jacobs und Lacey (anscheinend) Sex. Hinterher gesteht Lacey Jacobs, dass sie sich in ihn verliebt hätte, doch Jacobs scheint merkwürdigerweise unzufrieden und unglücklich zu sein.

Jacobs Rückkehr in den Ring steht kurz bevor. Möglicherweise ist "Project 161" und die blutende Freiheitsstatue ein Hinweis auf die Rückkehr.

2. Die Worte "second" und "city" auf abused society deuten auf Chicago hin (vgl. "Second City Saints"). Ein weiterer Hinweis ist die gezeigte Skyline, denn Fanberichten zufolge handelt es sich dabei um ein altes Bild des Wrigley Turms von Chicago.

3. Die 161 in "Project 161" könnte auf die 161. Ring Of Honor Show hinweisen, die interessanterweise in Chicago stattfindet, nämlich am 15. September 2007. "Zufälligerweise" ist dies auch der Termin des dritten PPV Tapings.

4. Die Promo von Adam Pearce beim ersten PPV deutete auf eine Wandlung seines Gimmicks in eine düstere Richtung hin. Seine Beziehung zu BJ Whitmer und Shane Hagadorn führt zu Gerüchten, dass es sich bei "Project 161" um ein Stable mit u.a. diesen drei Männern handeln könnte.

The promo segment opened with Pearce, dressed all in black, talking to his assistant, Shane Hagadorn. Pearce said:

Hagadorn, the eyes are the gateway to a man's soul. Go find him.

Shane then runs off. After introducing himself to the audience, Pearce continues:

...there is a hell of a lot of soul-searching to be done in Ring of Honor.

He then tells the history of ROH's growth from a small regional promotion to PPV. This is followed by:

Every member of the Ring of Honor locker room now has to step up, you see. They have to make that step. They have to ask themselves, "What am I willing to do to take my piece?".

Shane then enters the frame, saying he found "him." Shane and Pearce walk off as the camera follows. Down a long hallway we see BJ Whitmer sitting with his head in his hands. Pearce says:

The man down the hall's name is BJ Whitmer. This is a man whose soul is in so much pain that even he cannot reveal it to the world. BJ has made sacrifice after sacrifice after sacrifice for Ring of Honor...and for Ring of Honor's fans. He's had his flesh torn and his bones broken, and made a hell of a lot more than 1 trip to the hospital. A few months ago BJ lost in one of the most violent feuds in history to Jimmy Jacobs. And now he sits there, a man before you whose spirit is broken. Every day he will have to look in the mirror and ask himself, "How can I break free?".

As if that wasn't enough, we can add one more thing to the resume, because now BJ Whitmer is forever going to be known as the man who lost the very first match on RIng of Honor Pay-Per-View. Every night as he sleeps..as he dreams..and as he wakes up the next day...the question on his mind: What do I do to get relief? How do I make peace?...How do you make peace when the pressure is on? How do you make peace when the stakes continue to rise and eventually it's over your head? How do you do it? Every man's going to react in his own way. As I've said now every man is now forced to dig deep, to search within, to find that spot in their soul where clarity lives. They have to truly know...TRULY KNOW... what they're capable of. Pearce then walks down the long hallway and places his hand on Whitmer's shoulder.

Ist dies ein Hinweis auf "Project 161" bzw. auf "NHSociety" ( = "No Honor Society" ) ?

5. Die gerüchteten Namen für das ebenfalls nur gerüchtete Stable sind größtenteils Leute, die zwei Dinge gemeinsam haben:

a) sie haben es schwer (gehabt), sich bei den ROH Fans zu etablieren

b) sie wurden allesamt von ROH Champion Takeshi Morishima in kurzer Zeit besiegt (Whitmer, Rave, Pearce)

6. Die auf dem ROH Message Board geposteten Nachrichten beinhalten Namen und Anspielungen auf aktuelle und vergangene ROH Stables, darunter No Remorse Corps, Sweet & Sour, The Resilience und The Prophecy. Besonders auf die seit drei Jahren nicht mehr existente Prophecy gibt es einige Andeutungen, darunter "TAKING OVER IS KEY", "NO HONOR", "THE PROPHECY HAS BEEN REVISITED AND REVISED", "CRUCIFY" und "DESTROY HONOR AND TAKE OVER".


Also entweder handelt es sich um eines der kompliziertesten und durchgeplantesten Storyline-Starts der letzten Jahre oder irgendjemand hat verdammt viel Zeit. Vielleicht auch beides. Ihr entscheidet!
