[10.0] "He and Ultimo Dragon were my favorite wrestlers growing up. The in-ring ability, Showmanship, Psychology, Charisma, and work ethic are all incredible. At the age of 48 he hasn't really lost a step in the ring at all and can still perform a top shelf match with any competent worker in the world. His ability to keep himself in great shape shows what it's like if a worker stays away from drugs and pain medication. He is a true testament to the business and I love watching his performances. My only knock on him could be his selling at times isn't always perfect, but that is a small complaint. He could have been a far bigger star in New Japan during the "Dark Years" which may not have been dark if his push would not have been derailed after his record breaking IWGP Heavyweight Championship run. I hope I have the opportunity to shake his hand one day."

Back when I watched WCW, I would always route for Yuji Nagata, who brought to the game (in my opinion at that time) quite an interesting strong style. When his time passed in the USA I looked up his work in Japan, and was highly amazed he was taken to his limit many times and put on excellent showings. Nagata already has an impressive legacy, and with no signs of stopping soon I truly believe he has another G1 Climax victory in him."

[9.0] "Yuji Nagata has pretty much done it all for New Japan and Pro Wrestling NOAH, having enjoyed reigns with both of their heavyweight titles in addition to their tag titles. Nagata specializes in worked shoot matches, having fought such matches against Rolles and Daniel Gracie (as well as Josh Barnett. ) Too bad he didn't get a WCW belt during his excursion to the United States, but his accomplishments in Japan make up for it."
