[8.0] "Phil LaFon (or Dan Kroffat as he was known in Japan) was a top-level tag and junior heavyweight wrestler for All Japan Pro Wrestling. Though he and his partner Doug Furnas eventually made it to the North American promotions, they did so at a time where shock value trumped wrestling skill - thus relegating them to the background (in fairness, they returned to a standing ovation in ECW and did have a one-day reign as the ECW Tag Champions. )"
