Though he and his partner Doug Furnas eventually made it to the North American promotions, they did so at a time where shock value trumped wrestling skill - thus relegating them to the background (in fairness, they returned to a standing ovation in ECW and did have a one-day reign as the ECW Tag Champions. )"
