[8.0] "Dean Ambrose always had the potential to be great. His work as the leader of The Shield was excellent and raised a lot of expectations. And even though he has been quite inconsistent after The Shield's break up, especially in his character, I still have big hopes on him. He has always been very good on the mic, especially as a heel, his character, when taken seriously, is great but his wrestling skills are not his biggest assets. He participated in some of the greatest 6-man tag team matches ever but never really impressed me as a single competitor in the ring despite having some good matches. He is a good brawler and he can shine in stipulation matches but if he can improve his in-ring abilities, then he could be really great. I never thought I would be so happy to see him win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, he was perfect and this opportunity might reveal whether or not he can be a true star and I think he has the potential to do so."

[10.0] "His work during The Shield days was beautiful. This is the real Shield leader. He had a great title reign as US champ. People like Ambrose or Tanahashi are born once in a hundred years. Casual fans loves him. Smark fans loves him. Dean had an attractive character back in autumn 2014 that looked like Austin 3:16... WWE missed the opportunity to give him a big push... Ambrose had a long long way to first world championship. Feuds against Rollins, Wyatt... This monitor... This PPV lose streak... Elimination Chamber... Roadblock... And finally! MITB 2016... He deserve it!"

He shares that resemblance to Mick Foley despite, the product being PG based these days. His offense is a different story. At times he can be good. Other times its absolute bad. Say what you want about Dean not having wrestling abilities in comparison to Rollins, but at least he can properly get over with the fans. And after having to deal with disappoint on where he was being handled and two of his former shield members winning the World title in 2015, the payoff was worth waiting the whole time to me."

[7.0] "Dean Ambrose has the potential to be a great character. His work in FCW and during his Shield days was excellent; he can be an edgy, vicious performer who's exciting to watch in any alignment. I strongly dislike his booking as a goofy "lunatic" who throws food at people; it undermines him as a character but I understand that's the writers' fault. When used properly, Dean's a very solid promo, and a magnetic personality. That said, and I feel like it's heretical to say this, I honestly think Roman Reigns has had more interesting matches. Granted, that's in part because Roman has been booked against some of the best wrestlers in the world -- Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles come to mind. Dean hasn't had those opportunities, but even in matches where he should have shined, he hasn't lived up to his potential. His matches at WrestleMania 32 against Brock Lesnar and afterwards against Chris Jericho felt oddly flat -- and there's no excuse for those tame matches when you consider the participants involved. I don't know quite why Dean fails to "click" with me, but maybe he just needs to get his edge back -- both on the mic and in the ring. Hopefully, now that he's gotten a WHC reign at last, the writers and bookers will allow that."

[10.0] "Oh, he'll get his eventual World title runs but if anyone's going to be put on the back burner in favor of the new golden boy these next few years it's Dean Ambrose, which is a shame since he is exactly what they need in a talent. He's got the edginess to appeal to an older demographic(when they don't have him act like a complete dumbass, proof of what I'm saying can be seen during his early Shield days and his FCW heel work), his in ring ability while untested in regular situations (since WWE puts most talent on a leash) is pretty good, his mic work is elite and most of all: He's over with the crowd. No excuses WWE, absolutely none. EDIT: I see WWE finally pulled the trigger."
