[8.0] "As talented as Ambrose is, I don't think he has lived up to his full potential. He has always had solid matches, but I never have felt his matches moving past the second gear. He is a solid wrestler, no doubt about it, but I have never really seen him go past solid in a match. Most of Ambrose's matches don't stand out to me, and they blend into one. I think in part it is a result of his weird booking previous to becoming heavyweight champion, with the constant losses, and the cartoonish aspects of his character. What Ambrose needs is a heel turn. While as a face he is entertaining, I have grown tired of him as a face. Ambrose's hardcore, lunatic fringe personality would probably work better as a heel now that he has been established as a champion"

He shares that resemblance to Mick Foley despite, the product being PG based these days. His offense is a different story. At times he can be good. Other times its absolute bad. Say what you want about Dean not having wrestling abilities in comparison to Rollins, but at least he can properly get over with the fans. And after having to deal with disappoint on where he was being handled and two of his former shield members winning the World title in 2015, the payoff was worth waiting the whole time to me."

And right now fans are like: Dean Ambrose is overrated. He is boring. If someone gives him a low point , 1-He is a roman reigns fan 2- He is not a true WWE fan"

In the ring, he can't wrestle, he always needs a better performer to have a good match. Look at his match with Ziggler, that's one of the worst matches in history. On the mic, he can cut an adequate promo, okay, who can't do that? Anyone on the roster can. His character is not a Lunatic, he doesn't do anything crazy, stop calling him The Lunatic Fringe cause it's more like The Lunatic Cringe! 0!"

His gimmick is very boring, I'm going to sleep when he cuts a promo. I didn't like him in CZW and now I don't like him in WWE. He doesn't deserve a World title. I don't see anything in him."

Regardless, he finally got his World Title push, and it is much deserved. He can literally do it all -- he can wrestle any style, he's one of the best on the mic in the business, and he has a unique, interesting character. I wish he'd stop using that rope rebound clothesline, but that one little thing wasn't enough to rate him less than a 10."

[6.0] "Ambrose is in a weird spot. For a long time, he was treated like a second-rate citizen by the WWE despite probably being at worst the second-most over guy in the company. Then he follows up getting squashed in a baffling and disappointing Wrestlemania match with a lackluster feud with Jericho, in which they were wrestling matches that were clearly designed to have them look like upper card guys, due to how much time they got, but which I don't think did either guy many favors on that front. And then with his momentum dead from two dud feuds, he, as the afterthought in a feud between his former partners, finally gets the belt that the crowd would've loved to have seen him win a year or so earlier. I think he's done well as a champion so far, wrestling decent matches and getting to let loose on the mic, so to me, he's halfway rehabilitated, but it's a shame that it had to come after six months of being uncharacteristically boring. I think Ambrose had a decent grasp of in-ring psychology, but sometimes he overuses the rebound elbow to where it becomes silly, and generally I find his offense kinda goofy and uninteresting. Can't deny the many great tag matches he's had, though, and despite him having wrestled Rollins a million times, they've exceeded my expectations several times, so he can definitely go. I hope him getting to shine separately from The Shield will let him prove that he's better than just "satisfactory"."
