[9.0] "European wrestling fans are likely to have fonder memories of Finlay than their North American counterparts. In the CWA, Fit Finlay was am outstanding middleweight and mid-card wrestler for them who was also capable of holding his own during excursions to New Japan. Stateside, he was a heel who played off of his heritage to generate heel heat. Though he wasn't nearly as prolific in North America, he can claim to be a former WWE United States Champion in addition to WCW Television Champion. In time, he became a well respected wrestler for being a solid mat technician."
