Overview

What is there to tell you about wrestlers that you do not already know? Well, you can find that answer out yourself by browsing our massive wrestlers database that has been the backbone of the site since 2005. The biggest stars and the most unknown rookies, all of them are included in the database and can be commented on, rated and generally browsed for huge amounts of information -- as long as the individuals have received professional training. No backyarders allowed, so please do not contact us about your buddy just because he can do a really cool pile driver. Non-wrestlers, like referees, commentators or promoters are included as well as a few celebrities who have stepped into the ring themselves. However, for celebrities the rating system has been deactivated (you can still comment on them), because this is not the place to rate celebrities; this is the one place to rate wrestlers.

[6.0] "Fale/Ishii: 3 As usual F is cloddish and yet completely physically overwhelms his opponent. But I is so good, so properly undersized that most of the fanbase, that is diminuitive itself, can relate. Flat crowd and deliberate execution. Unlike last year, I (kayfabe) had the knee strength to brainbuster the monster and F only slightly pressed off the mat. Sanada/Makabe: 2 3/4 The match was fine... some might even say good considering it flowed well... but I found myself too easily distracted and just not compelled. When the D Sleep was applied, S's attentions were looking up instead of clamping down on the hold and the close pin after the 'TKO' was due to M's laziness of getting his fat arm off the mat. Marafuji/Tenzan: 3 1/3 Quality M chops on T! I would guess the chest is the safest place to be stiff to the semi-paralyzed longtime veteran. Thus far, NM has looked good all tournament. Good match and I really liked the warmth expressed post-match by the worthy competitors. Tama-Tana: 2 3/4 Oh, there's no way the lowest ranked competitor of 'A' block will send NJPW's #1 star to an 0-3 record. WOW! OMG... the match was fine but Tana runs about like Frankenstein's stitched-up monster. He must must be really, really hurt as he couldn't even properly straighten his body out to take a RKO. Goto/Okada: 3 1/2 I feel stablemates should shake hands before locking-up. More intensity and sense of purpose than O's Osaka February title defense; Goto felt stronger. Yaffa, I respect, but a 2? !"
[7.0] "The rating is for the three singles matches not rated: Yoshi-Hashi/Honma *** Should the winner of last Block B's main event be on first? Anyway, interesting singles bout between two lower-middle carders both of whom have the (unexpected) opportunity to be undefeated through the second day of singles competiton. Twas interesting to hear who was getting the louder support; it was Y-H at first but after his flat offense of the first few minutes the majority of the support went to the perennial underdog. Things got stronger after Honma's first offensive rush... , but that only lasted 5 minutes or so. Evil/Nagata: ** 3/4 I'm finding it difficult to get into matches when Watanabe is on offense; that being said, I thought Nagata looked 10 years his junior.... he sold with conviction & his moveset was swift/cutting/destructive. Omega/Yano: ** 1/2 So Y lost in less than a few minutes in his first match and I'm supposed to believe that the former IC champ is having difficulties putting this lame-ass jokester away. Then again, KO is a spaz naturally leading to situations in which the clever fox can manipulate the bunny's movement. So it was too long, sometimes lame and sometimes redeemable. At least this grating fox was outsmarted and pinned."
[8.0] "*** 1/2 Oh, those awesome Naito expressions... After Elgin no-sells N's opening attack, N's look was like 'uh oh... I may be in trouble. ' The match is sometimes off-rhythm, moves like Naito's swinging DDT are acknowledged f'ups. It also contains one of my wrestling pet peeves: Elgin hits a top-rope splash (announcers call it 'High Fly Flow' and at one point they called Tana & Elgin 'best friends') and is literally on-top of N for the cover... , but rolls off a full second later because of knee pain. Dude, hypothetically, all you had to do was stay where you were and perhaps the match, the pain would be over. What kind of warrior would move after placing himself in an ideal circumstance for the pin? ! Notwithstanding, the end reversals were edge-of-your-seat exciting and Elgin was put over in that it took 2 Destino's to pin him. A 7. 5 rounded up because of the main-event thus full-length duration."
