- IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Pegasus Kid verfolgte das Contenders-Match im Publikum, reichte beiden Männer nach dem Match die Hand und sagte dass er alle Herausforderungen aus der ganzen Welt annehmen werde.
- Tatsumi Fujinami meldete sich mit seinem Match von einer Rückenverletzung zurück, die er sich im Juni 1989 zugezogen hatte. Er hatte Koshinaka im Dragon Sleeper als das Zeitlimit erreicht war.
- Great Muta wurde mit einem Seil vom Hallendach in den Ring heruntergelassen.
- Muta pinnte Steamboat nach einem Backbreaker und anschließendem Moonsault vom obersten Ringseil, nachdem er seinem Gegner zuvor den grünen Mist ins Gesicht gesprüht hatte.
- Antonio Inoki feierte sein Wrestling-Debüt unter seinem bürgerlichen Namen Kanji Inoki am 30.09.1960 gegen Kintaro Oki in Taito, Tokyo.
- Ehrengäste der Show waren Lou Thesz, Nick Bockwinkel, Billy Robinson, Johnny Powers, Willem Ruska, Hiro Matsuda, Stan Hansen, Andre The Giant, Johnny Valentine und Tiger Jeet Singh.
